Whip it

The rain clouds of this week’s Sydney weather have delivered a silver lining to the Gorgeous One and me. The G.O.’s work site is awash and although previously he couldn’t be spared this coming Saturday & Monday so we could have a lovely long break, the weather Gods were on our side: rainy this week, sunny and a little showery next but nice, so we are off again up to our house for a week’s break with *ANZAC Day in the middle.

While we’re there we sometimes go for a drive, mainly when I say “there’s this property on domain.com, lets go and look”… We’re amusing ourselves: we have no intention of taking on [the work & expense of] a rural property but our adventures take us to some great places like this one on the Whip Mountain Road just out of Taylors Arm, NSW Australia. In the photo’s, in the near distance you can see the G.O.’s childhood home (which incidentally we did look at when it was up for sale), and the ocean in the distance.

*Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorated by both countries on 25 April every year to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire during World War I. It now more broadly commemorates all those who died and served in military operations for their countries.

  1. I would love to visit Australia one day. It looks like such a beautiful place. It looks like horseback riding country to me! Your photos are breathtaking! 🙂
